HIIP provides indicator metadata. This includes definitions, data sources, methods of estimation and other associated attributes of national reported health-related statistics and global estimates. It enables users to have a better understanding of available data and promotes proper interpretation and use of information for exploring health situations and trends. Indicators accessible in HIIP are linked to the WHO Indicator and Measurement Registry, which provides a complete, well-structured indicator metadata to facilitate standardization and harmonization of indicators collected by different agencies in various countries.
Click on the indicator name to view indicator metadata. You can browse indicators alphabetically and by topic by clicking on the default and by topic buttons, respectively. You can further filter the list by typing a keyword in the text box.
